As an experimental gastronomy initiative based in Amsterdam, Steinbeisser brings together renowned chefs and artists for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.
Food and drinks are entirely plant-based (vegan) and sourced from local organic and biodynamic (Demeter) producers.
Artists create cutlery and tableware that celebrates experimentation and the search for new ways to enjoy food. The dinners showcase contemporary cuisine at the highest level, uniting design, gastronomy, and nature.
The photography style and soil background were consciously chosen to undergird the vegan approach while nicely framing the experimental tableware and high-end cuisine.

Preparing rough to fin types of soil by manual sieving.

Imprinting, shaping, flattening, forming soil.

Hundreds of cutlery and tableware ready for the show.
Flexible set styling. Given 15 minutes between courses- not knowing what the next one is going to look like.

Hosting the event: Lloyd Hotel Amsterdam
The studio place was tiny but the building itself was impressive.

My first soil cake made in this mini baking oven to achieve a nicely cracked surface.

Artistic, experimental and fun cutlery by chosen artists.
